RPM gauge goes CRAZY!! Can I fix?
Basically my RPM gauge in my 95 maxima just goes all over the place. Every now in that it decides that it wants to sort of work. Basically it will sorta move with the right speed, but it goes slower, I'm not sure how else to describe it.
Other time it just stands still or shakes violently back and forth (you can hear it when it shakes back and forth)
I was wondering if anyone has heard of this or knows if it's something I could fix myself? My mechanic said it would be expensive and I shouldn't bother, but I really wish it worked :/
Thanks!
Josh

Time for a new gauge. You can replace the entire instrument cluster, but will end up having the incorrect mileage on the odometer. Or you can go to Nissan and have them calibrate a new odometer $$$$ to your current mileage.

my friend made his own custom dash for his Mustang out of Carbon fiber and autometer gaues...PRETTY COOL he has real accurate oil,rpm,speedo,temp,etc.....now it would be really cool if he used lil LEDS for like Lowfuel, battery, Check Engine, etc
