hey man its very simple. the little black thing next to the fog light comes out and reveals 2 bolts. they have a phillips head but its best to use a 10mm wrench. soon as you get the bolts out the they pull right out. there is a bracket inside that supports the fog light. if you want to totally get rid of them, you need to take off the bumper cover to get to them. adn gettin the bumper cover off is quite a pain in the ***.
if you remove the stock ones you should be able to tap into the stock wiring, pending your electrical skills, and make them run off your stock switch.

hope that helps

Thank you very much, im just talking about switching out the actual lights, but it is very helpful, get rid of the lil black thing (possibly with flathead or is it easier than that?) and i can just switch em off?

Yes all you gotta do is take out that one screw and the black piece will come off. 2 screws hold in each fog and you unscrew them and unplug the harness to take them off. You can just pull out the fuse or something if you're using separate wiring for the aftermarket ones.

You can't since theyre made from glass and no amount of polishing or rubbing compound will help (at least theyre glass on the 97s). Ive already tried with novus and it doesnt do anything. That kinda stuff only works on plastic.

What do you mean by "high performance"? I am putting in PIAA Xtremewhite Pluses in mine as soon as they come in.
