is there anyway to add a shift light to the cluster? i dont intend on installing a tach or anything. i looked at some led shift lights on fleabay, but they're all big. is there anything out there thats just a single led?

I'm sorry. I have to ask why? Or is it just because it can be done?

Well the one I'm installling is going to be used as a warning light rather than an optimal rpm shift light... that way if your not paying attention and forget to shift you'll get a warning before bouncing off the rev limiter ... shouldn't happen often but a worthy mod I think.

killervq where or who did you get that pic from?

im just trying to keep my car sleeper as possible so the car next to mine wont see
whats coming. all my gauges are being installed underneath the stereo, ic is anodized black, and bov is being setup to recirculate. even my muffler is stock looking, powerdercoated black with an angle cut.

How about using an unused Idiot Light socket? I don't have a "washer fluid low" sensor on my car (I think it only came on a few GLE's) but there's a socket for a bulb in the gauge cluster for its indicator. Guys with bare-bones GXEs like mine should have plenty of oppurtunity for this (I don't even have ABS).

I wanted to do this, but I shift at different RPM's at each gear, like 6500 for 1st, 6250 for 2nd, and so on. Is there any way to have it light up at a different RPM depending which gear I'm in?

i think im just gonna buy a pivot shift light, take it apart, and install the led bulb somewhere on the cluster.
