The idea behind this intake is to reduce the air velocity through the filter material, thereby lowering flow resistance. Resistance to flow is proportional to the air velocity through the filter medium, so increasing the filter area reduces velocity, resulting in less pressure drop through the filter.

So the principle is sound, but the application is pretty gimmicky, since it would make more sense to just use a larger single filter. So, this item is obviously intended to attract buyers who are after that high performance twin-turbo look. I would have to label it as rice.

I think the ORG should create an exam on Maxima knowledge. Then they can place everyone by their scores in a specific category and let them post on certain threads. Those that score low can join a children's thread where they can post stupid threads like this one all day long. Those that actually enjoy learning and reading about the true works of mechancial knowledge can post in a Grown up thread. Lets get working on this ORG.

Uhh, I guess you didn't get a good look at this intake to see that there is only one pipe with 2 filters on it. Also the skyline is a twin turbo with only a single MAF. Same as the 300zx.

^--and neither of those are stock. Just like when you approach the 500hp range in the 300zx, it is common practice to run a 2 maf program. The stock skyline only has one maf.

thats actually an rb26 in an s13, but you get the idea.

Skyline GT-R comes with 2 MAFs. Always.
All other Skyline trim levels come with one MAF.
Notice both MAFs are plugged in on that GT-R. On just about any Z32 running 2 MAFs, one is a dummy and is not connected.
