Stereo problems
Well my stereo doesnt work... neither part of it. Where should I start....
Whenever I turn my car on it starts looking for the cd/tape (wierd sound present too) and then displays a message that reads "Tape Err". This happens even when i turn the stereo off before getting out of the car and even when I get in, start it, turn the stereo on and the off - in a few minutes the error message will come up anyways.
My friend tried putting in a cd a little while ago and it said "cd err". That cd was burned so I went and tried a legal cd that I got at a store and the same thing happened.
The radio, sadly, doesnt work either. Here, however, I know the reason - antenna. When I turn the radio on the antenna does nothing. Technically the radio works but the reception is horrible so I cant really listen to that either.
Now - I dont really care about the tape player, and the radio doesnt worry me all that much either - its CDs that Im after. Would it be better (by which I mean less expensive) to have my current stock system fixed or just buy a new cd player? I def wouldnt be able to do the work myself so I need to consider service as well.
The antenna - I would guess that the motor is just broken since it does make a sound when I turn the radio on/off, so where can I have it checked and fixed and what would the cost be?
Thanks.
