safe to use PIAA 9004 bulbs?
safe to use PIAA 9004 bulbs?
i currently have the sylvania silverstars in the car (96 gxe)
just wanted to know if it would be OK/safe to use the PIAA 9004 bulbs
their 9004 series xtreme white plus
ARE THESE ANY BRIGHTER THAN THE SYLVERSTARS?
Bulb Type 9004 (HB1)
Wattage 65/45w = 120/95w, 4000K
Technology Xtreme White Plus with XTRA Technology
will i burn any of the wires in my headlamps?

Nope, they won't cause any damage. I'm running them on my 95.
They're pretty good as replacements over stock, but don't be TOO excited with the 4000k; they shine bright and clean white which is fine, but the only way you see them at their best is driving with high beams.

Your better off with xtravisions if color temp isn't a concern. They throw more light down on the road then any other stock bulb. Plus their only 14 bucks for the set.
The Piaas are whiter, the Xtravisions are brighter. I had the Piaas in my lights and the light output is horse$hit, especially in the rain. Go with the Xtravisions at Walmart. I may switch back to the Piaas for summer driving. But for the crappy weather around here in the winter, I'll keep the Xtravisions in.
I bought the silverstars a few weeks ago and just installed them yesterday. There a big improvement over stock.
I wouldnt waste any other money on any other brand, unless I was going to go and do the HID conversion....
They sell conversion kits for like $75,
I saw one on Ebay today.
