I need help with a clutch problem!!! Help!

Well for awhile my clucth has been acting really crappy. so today i decided to bleed it. me and my friend started to and i started pumping the pedal and nothing happened. The part that pushes in and out of the slave cylinder is not even moving. I tried replacing the slave cylinder and that did not work. We looked at my friends maxima and there is a "triangle shaped metal brack that holds the pin to the slave cylinder and it stays in and when you push the cluct in to comes out. That peice is not even moving. What could hiss be???

Check the fluid level, and it sounds like you have some damage to the hydraulics of the system.... which part

the fluis level is fine, when you try to bleed it barley anything will come out. The car cannot drive cause the clutch will not come up off the floor. You can start it but not get it into gear,

Sounds like that piece you described has a hydraulic switch or something that activates the slave and that is damaged, or the slave you bought was defective.

Sometimes a clutch that isn't bled properly will result in the clutch pedal stuck to the floor. You can pull it off the floor and continue trying to bleed it that way, but what worked for me was to use a vacuum pump to draw out the fluid/air at the slave end.
