help with timing tensioner replacement

I read the stickies and it worked great. so I got the tensioner out now. The problem is getting the new one to go in, the timing chain guide is putting pressure onto the area where the tensioner is suppose to go. I tried pulling it back but i need to get my other hand in there to put the tensioner in but it's not working because there isn't much room for two hands. How did u guys put your new tesioner in. thanks in advance.

I'm guessing you'd have to manipulate some kind of tools in there... but in for suggestions.

Use a paper clip to keep the loaded tensioner in place. With one hand insert the piston end against the tensioner guide and force it against the chain to make sufficient room to insert the tensioner. Once the unit is in the cavity, worry about alignment and getting the bolts in at that time. It may take some time...don't get frustrated.
