LED Taillights: LED MCD?

Stopping into the 4th gen forum cuz I know a few 4th gen'ers have done an LED conversion on their tails.

I'm going to attempt it on a 5th gen. I have my dummy light but had a question on what MCD Red LED's I should get. I don't want to get anything that'll blind people when I brake. Let's hear your suggestions.

Thanks.

I use 5000-8000MCD. Some people use 13000.
Mine are brighter than my G35 so I think it is enoug.

how do you make them get brighter when the headlights or parking lights are on and you step on the breaks? are there two levels on those LEDS?

This is the technical answer. And if you want to do it right dont use 5mm leds, use SuperFlux Leds. Thats what OEM cars have.
