Not so smooth ride

Recently installed Tokico Illuminas w/ H&R springs. The problem I'm having is that when I'm going over a series of bumps, I don't feel like I'm in control of the car. It tends to wooble the steering wheel and I'm fighting to keep the wheel straight.

Things I did recently-

Lower control Arms
Inner/Outer Tie rods
Sway bar links

Also got an Alignment after this was all done.

Right now I have my struts on 1front/2back

If anybody have any suggestions please let me know, or if you need additional info.

Thanks.

Wow, are you serious. I have mine at 5 front and 4 rear to take care of some of that understear our cars have. They are stiff but on regular road they are comfortable standard wise. Only over a serious of nasty bumps at 70 to 80mph on the highway did I feel miscomfort. Other than that it was great! For some reason ever since I got my 17's my ride seems to be alittle bit softer.

Sorry in NYC there isn't any regular roads. We pretty much have the worst roads possible everywhere.

Small bumps are ok but when there's a series of bumps it's a little jarring.

You need to set them to atleast 3 to get rid of the bounce to them

Just experiment with them. 3/3 and up is what most people run them at. But I know for a fact the softest setting or 1 is bouncy I experimented with my coilovers for over a month before I finally found a good setting. Set them to 3 drive around a couple miles pull into a gas station change them to 4 etc. I tend to find you want the rear stiffer.

Remember that the struts are controlling the spring rate. If the springs are stiff like H&R's, you need to increase the damping on the struts or your car will seem out of control and bouncy. Test them at 5/5 and then bring them down until you have the combo you like. I had them at 5/5 for mountain riding and then 4/5 for interstate. Settled at 3f/4r for most riding.
I went back to stock springs with the illumina's and now 2f/3r is stiff. Depends on the springs!!
