Oil Pressure Sending Unit Question

Hey, I'm about to replace my oil pressure sending unit....it's been leaky. Do you recommend putting some threadlock on the new sending unit? Is there a washer that goes on as well? Thanks!

I also used tape http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/514

No washer - you just screw it in

Does it screw in all the way until it is flush? I did this awhile back when I did not have the correct socket and it seemed tight but I remember still seeing thread.

I just replaced my oil pressure sender unit and I too noticed that thread was still showing. Is this normal?

I got it to the point were it would require a significant amount of force to turn it anymore (probably way over the 9-13 ft/lb recommended).

As long as it's torqued down and doesn't leak, no worries.

Does the connector fit tight on there? If you move it around or shake the harness, does the light flicker?
