car got keyed up pretty bad. suggestions?

well like the title says I come out of work today and my car is keyed down both sides and the hood and whoever did it, made sure they went pretty deep. So my wife calls gieco and they said they will pay for a new paint job of course with the 500 deductble. does all this sound right? i mean we never got into an accident our records are clean but it just sounds to easy?

Too easy? That's what you've been paying these people for - To reimburse you in the event your car is vandelized. Be aware too many claims will affect your rates or possibly even your insurability with Geico, even though it's not your fault.

i would feel real uneasy about getting a paint job just like that. they'd keyed it once, whos to say they wont do it again.

You're right. One time I was shopping for insurance on the web, and I happened to see that I have the right to see the report which shows my claims. They make you jump through hoops, but I got a report for homeowners and auto. Looks like a credit history report. In my case, nothing as I've paid thousands and thousands in insurance and never had a claim. There is a guy in my office who was in the same boat. His water heater broke in his house, needed the first floor redone, and after that, he got dropped by his carrier. You know, the one with the tv ads and the ridiculous so-called true stories.
