I need new tails for my max, and thinking of which ones to get. I want the red/clears, but I can't find any good ones. The ones on ebay seem to not match (I need all 4 lights). Also the smoked ones seem dull, where can I get some nice tails?

I would get the smoked ones , and if it seems dull to you, just open them up and smoke them even more.. Or look in the Maxima parts section for red/clear taillights

The ones on Ebay are not nearly as clear as the crystals from Custom Enterprise.

 

I think the Ebay ones are nice, especially for the price.

I need to replace my drivers side outter light too and I started looking at options.
Basically, you've got a couple options-
-Red/clear them yourself
-red/clear CE tails
-red/clear ebay
-altezza

I've been personally trying to decide what to do. I've almost been toying with the idea of buying altezza and then redding them out. But i'm not sure if that would totally work or look good.

i just got a pair of the red/clear lights on ebay for sixty-six bucks. you can't go wrong with either one, but i'd pick the red/clear ones.

 

There are two companies selling the red/clear one for our car, and I think last week (or couple weeks ago) someone commented that one company's taillights don't fit that well.

 

Dude, wait like 3 weeks and my LED tails will be ready.

 

I need those. Those are hot. Not a big fan of DTM signals and reverse though.

 

If you could afford it, go for Kelvo's taillights.

Dont get altezzas! The red/clear tailights look good specially when their slightly tinted.

 

I have Altezzas. They look pretty cool. But I think I would rather get smoked if I had a choice next time. I also have white corner lights and front turn signal lights. I don't pass inspection with them on. Does anybody else have this problem with white turn signal lights not passing inspection their state?

 

I thought white or amber signals up front were legal. But they had to be amber or red in the back. I guess it differs from state to state.

 

Get the smoked red/clears they look 10x better on a dark colored Max imo. I bought mine from CE I haven't really looked at the one's on Ebay though.

I'd say try to get some tails from the junk yard and then clear the outsides. Cost me $4 to clear them. Probably will cost you less to go to the junk yard. If you want find nice looking ones then just go with ebay.

It's all about the bulb color. You could have clear lenses all around as long as you have the corresponding orange/red bulbs where they're supposed to be.

Actually that's not entirely true. I have clears all around and I was pulled over the other day for tints and got written up for the front clears apparently. I thought that since they had amber bulbs they were ok but when I went to get the car inspected I had to change the front clears back to stock orange.

So I think it depends what state and how pissy the po's are. No reason not to put them on tho right?
