is there a way to get the pull off of the ac compressor? it just spins when you try to lossen it. i notice there are 3 holes around the bolt is there a tool that goes in those holes so u can hold the pully in place then get that bolt lose?

I think your talking about the AC clutch. The whole compressor must be changed.don;t think theres any other way. i changed mine a couple months ago. You don't need anything else but basic sockets, extensions and a breaker bar is recommended. there are 4 very long mounting bolts and two bolts that hold the AC lines to the compressor(AC system must be depressurized). You may have to jiggle the compressor around to get it in the right postition to loosen it. I suggest you get a Haynes manual first.

only a couple of bolts holding it on, but you have to replace the whole compressor. Did mine last year

i had the same whining noise and replaced mine a few months ago. I've never heard of anyone just lubing the bearing. you must change the whole compressor.
