Wheel Bearings

Lately, my 99 maxima is making a warbling noise at low speeds. I know its not the engine and believe it is coming from the wheels. I think that I need to have my wheel bearings repacked if its not sealed. Is it normal to have wheel bearings repacked or replaced when the mileage is 44000? Does anyone know if the front and rear wheel bearings can be repacked. Any information is appreciated.

Thanks,

The bearings are sealed. They cannot be repacked. Wheel bearings typically last for the life of the vehicle. It is uncommon to have them fail as early as 44K. It happens, but it is not usual. Please examine your Constant Velocity joints and their protective boots. Tires can make some strange sounds, especially tires with unusual wear patterns.
