Summer time recovery: (ebay ground kits)

Summer time recovery: (ebay ground kits)
It's summer time and I've done all my brakes and almost all my fluids and the 'basic' tune up. I'm heading 77k now on my 97 maxima.
I'm wondering what else I can do to get it running well. I believe in the phrase if it ain't broke don't fix it; unless you have the financial capital.
I've read on OTHER FORUMS regarding these grounding kits on ebay. To some it has 'marginally' helped them on their dyno, stereo systems, etc. I assume a lot could be due to replacing of 'corroded' grounds.
But seriously has anyone bought one and does it help out with anything?

i'm hoping to improve my idle; stero system; and increase start time pretty much. I just bought one about last week from a dude named 'speedingtrack' on ebay, but haven't rec'd it yet..hopefully soon tho.. i chose his over some others cuz his came with a battery head so that i wouldn't have to worry about buying it from radio shack or something
plus it looks nice under the hood sorta.
i'll reply back again after i install it...but i still gotta wait for it -.-

They are very easy and cheap to make yourself, plus it's fun, do not buy one. Some improvements people see are lower idle, smoother shifts (Auto), brighter lights, and gas mileage improvments.
Check this out for more info on them and installation.

if you can get one cheap, screw making it...
i personally was just gonna resurface the grounding points but i need some kind of fast spinning brush tool i can use on my compressor that i just havent gotten aroudn to buying.
my headlights are dimming alot when power steering kicks on and stuff like that, so im doing this....as soon as i get my car back.

this is the one i bought from "speedingtrack," $4.99 + $14.99 shipping + $2.00 ins (req) = $21.98
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT
When it comes in, I'm gonna "resurface the grounding points" [great point chillin014!] and follow this guide and other random points if I have extra wires: http://www.vqpower.com/v2/modules.ph...howpage&pid=68
According to the guide, NAPA Auto Parts should carry the battery teminal.
I would make my own, but I just don't have too much time anymore... just enough time to install and go on with other things I have to do.

it actually isn't even cheaper to make it yourself. You may end up having some of the stuff laying around.
The cable can be at least $7
wire terminals cost $4 for 3 at home depot, can spend $15 on wire terminals alone.
negative terminal $3
battery post $3

I'm gonna use how they set it up from the kit. i'm not gonna change anything really with it..so i'mma use the circle thing.. if anything, i'll probably have extra wires so i might end up taking one or two wires off unless I find other points to connect them to..

Need to make a couple of wires to ground the starter and trans and a couple of other things

So I took the wires and looked under the hood...and the wires are pretty short..haven't installed any, but i already know i'm going to need to attach a few cables together so that it can reach from the grounding point to the terminal.....

i have them and i noticed major performance improvement, stronger pull in the higher band, 0-60 time slashed by a second, and headlights are bright like hids now

I went to an electrical store and bought everything needed for $12. the only PITA was crimping since I didn't have a tool to do it. A hammer and flathead worked just fine though. I didn't really notice too much of a difference. just a faster start.

I don't have a lot of time to make my own wires either (wish I did though, sounds like a fun mod).
Anyways, I found this kit on eBay.

Is this a good buy? I emailed the seller about specs for the wires but I haven't received a response. I can only assume the parts meet expectations and aren't low quality.

I've just switched to a red top and I'm wondering if doing a ground kit will help it.
