Meaning, they spend more time designing things for maximas knowing that they are a large portion of their revenue. Just a thought.
Hate to break it to you, but Maximas aren't a large portion of ANYONE's revenue, with the exception of relatively specialized vendors and companies that make crap like tint and chrome rims.

Seriously. If you don't believe me now, you will eventually.

If this app doesn't have problems, it's because it's an extremely simple one: All the stock pipes are standard sizes, and all you have to do is make a midpipe with a few little connectors, grab a filter off the shelf, and toss in two or three generic couplers.

Will the couplers dry and crack? How will the materials stand the heat? How good is the filter -- will it choke off your airflow, or let too much dirt in? You don't know.

Since the stock midpipe is actually good anyway, you'd be much better off with a simple cone-filter-and-MAF-adapter, which you can have for about the same money.

That's what i'm gonna do. Only question is you need the maf adapter to install an aftermarket filter to your stock maf right? where can i get one alone? cuz im getting a k&n filter and i know those dont come with one or do they?

Hah. You're just trying to bait me into writing one of my essays...

All he wants is the growl, anyway, so the most important part is the midpipe. That's the section after the MAF that has all the hoses coming out of it. You need those hoses, so you can't eliminate the midpipe.

If the Frankencar costs too much, here's the ingredients list to do it cheaper:

1. Generic midpipe
2. Cone filter w/ 3" inlet (the one in the above pic is awesome)
3. MAF adapter

For all you ricers, by definition, Stillens isn't a short ram...

Short ram = straight midpipe.

i got my filter (the one i posted above) on www.ajusa.com. You can get any cone filter you want as long as the inlet is 3 inches. check out this site: http://www.knfilters.com/universal/universal.htm (not sure which type you're looking for. it shows all the 3 inch filters they have (round tapered, round straight etc) as well as pics. hope this helps.

Yeah my plan was to get the eay intake and use the midpipe with K&N. Might make a custom CAI depending...Need to know two things. Midpipes from ebay will have the needed spots to attach hoses correct? Also need to know if I keep the stock MAF do I need anything else?

corcerns?

ok I live in miami and its hot as hell down here. after installing my K&N filter (see above posts) I've noticed that temps have gone up. my friend told me its because hotter air is going into the intake. should I be concerned about this?
