trunk remote question

i need to pay the 20.00 so i can search, i know lol. I am going to install my remote start/keyless entry system in the max that i have now until i can afford a full out alarm system for it. According to the diagrams i looked at, as well as the datasheet from the company shows my car has a wire for remote trunk. I called the company and asked them if it would work on my car because i dont have electronic trunk release from the factory, its the "pull the lever" style. The guy said that all i need to do is hook up the wire and it would work.

Now to me this sounds wrong. If it is a lever release there wouldnt be any sort of relay for that wire to trigger, would there? I just need to know if hes a moron or im just clueless.....or both lol.

If it's not electric, you need an actuator. Call up any car stereo/alarm place.. they'll know.
