I just had mine replaced on Friday..... you could hear me coming about a mile away. I thought at first it was a warped rotor bc it was a metallic grinding sound proportional to the rotation of the wheel but apparently that was not the case. Mine could not be shaken like yours was however I have heard thats a good indication of whether or not the bearing is bad.

if you shake it from side to side as in the video, that usually will indicate a bad tierod. but grab the top & bottom and shake will normally show if the bearing is bad.

Correct IIRC...

BTW, although that looks like the stock suspension, the car is really jacked in the air. I thought I would throw that in for the n00bz.

Wow, by the time you get that much wiggle, I'm sure you woulda noticed a change in the braking too. All that "give" pushes the pads back. Have you checked the hub too?

honestly i the only noticable thing that occured was my steering wheel vibrating over bumps.. thats alll.. and i dont really see how the hub can go bad... i know that people have had to replace them but i dunno..

THe hub can go bad. if you are not getting nice circular rotation as you are supposed to you can mess up the insides of it.

That thing sounds nasty!

I always do those little tests when I have the wheels off the ground, I don't get my hips into it that much though I need to get on that.

i guess i mean iv changed bearings so many times already and iv never seen a bad hub.. the race's are pressed in so much that it eliminates all movement... i guess the only way that i could go bad is when the bearing is so bad that it makes a race get dislodged from the hub...
