Hid Question..It's buggin me ..

Ok, i bought 8000k's off hids2000 ( Great seller btw!! ). And when i installed the fogs they were supposed to be blue, now they warm up blue and turn purple. FLip side, i went back to him and we tested teh bulb with a ballastd and battery at his house. and it was blue O_o. So my question is, do you think somethign is wrong with my ballast or can a ballast make a difference in the color like that? im not very hid aware..

still look sexy though..

8000k should be a blue/purple color. its probably your windshield or just how the light is hitting thats affecting the color.

Yes your ballasts can make a slight difference in the color.

but in this case its one person seeing the same light

both ballasts are probably on the extreme ends of beign off.. one on the purple side, one on the blue side.

the average is probably in the middle of those 2.

not to be a **** or anything but thats what happens with those kits... next time invest a little more research time and money and get urself oem hid parts.. they are excellent quaility and last.... but to answer the question... get a volt meter and mearue the voltage on the output of th ballasts and make sure they are the same.. if they are its the bulbs...
