maf cleaner + throttle body cleaner
maf cleaner + throttle body cleaner
i just cleaned my throttle body and maf cleaner 3 days ago and i ve noticed that my rpm never dropped below 500 anymore. My rpm used to randomly drop below 500 rpm when driven like under 40 mph under braking.
I only clean my throttle body with the spray and didnt used any brush to throughtly clean it, so i think cleaning my maf element helped my idling.
Any one else notice their idle after cleaning their maf sensor?

yeah after i replaced my plugs i noticed it stopped doing it for awhile, now i notice it does it when clutch is in and coming to a stop or if i rev it up it dips just below the 500rpm mark then goes back up to around 650-700. Maybe ill give this a try on tuesday.
I have a 97 auto. it idles low around 500, and stall occasionally. It may be caused by a dirty throttle body? I'll have it clean right away. When my car stalled, it won't startup right away though, I have to wait for 10 minutes before I can start it. Maybe it's more than just a TB clean? No codes shown.
Any suggestion?

Probably more than a dirty tb but clean first and see what happens. Also, you guys might think you're idling at 500 but you're not. I thought the same thing a while back until I have a summit rpm switch. It shows digitally what rpm I'm at and it was higher than I thought. Almost looking like 500 rpms and about 650 for me. And that's actually not bad for idle. You're idling should be about 650 if I remember correctly.
