===> ==> => GOODBYE 4th Gen Maximas!

well, sold the car on saturday... had a lot of fun with it while i had it, def was a great first car experience. I can't help but miss it. it was such a fun that left many confused looks on people faces (many civic si's, civic hb with the b16 swaps or b18 swaps, integras, mustang v6s, couple mustang gt's believe it or not, 325i's, one 330i, the latest gen altimas, other 4th gens etc etc def quicker than many cars on the road)

i really wonder how the maxima is with that 3.5 swap

i still see maximas on the road and look at them in awe. i saw this hooked up grey 4th gen on the lie over the weekend, pulled up to the guy and gave him a thumbs up! he prolly was wondering what the hell was wrong with me but gave me the head nod and took off.

ill still lurk the 4th gen forums and help add input whenever i can to all the "newbs" and anyone with any problems (i still lurk these forums more than i do the vw vortex forums) theres just something about the .org that i dont see on other forums.

people are really responsive when u pose a question properly, and you can pretty much expect a useful/correct answer within a couple of hours of posting.

just wanted to say thank you to all those that answered anything ive ever had a question about. i still have that maxima love, but just cant help put a smile on my face when i hop into my new GTI! haha

one day just one day ill hopefully be able to get back into a nissan (either in the form of a 350Z, the g35 coupe or the SKYLINE i wonder if the skyline will be under nissan or infiniti here in the US) but itll happen eventually.

as for now, i am going to enjoy my gti and smirk at the fact that stock for stock i can hang with g35s and once i get my ecu upgrade i will start walking away from them

pz to the .org and all the chill members.

How much did you get for your car after the mods? Or did you sell them piece by piece?

no problems with mk6 as of yet. they've only come in for 5k and 10k services. shocking there isn't know problems yet.

Congrats on the new car. Hopefully you enjoy it just as much as you did the max and by the way that is one sharp max. Color was very nicely done.

there is a guy in my town just put a VR6 in his MK2 GTi and has a t61 ( i think) turbo on it, hes going to be pushing 18-20 PSI and should be putting out close to 400HP.

That has to be the best looking 4th gen I've ever seen in my life. Had you been selling this when I was looking for a new Maxima, I'd have taken it. Sorry to see you go to the dark side

Honestly if there was nothing wrong with your ride, I don't see any reason to sell it. it's looks FnCKING T!TS!!!!!! AHAHAHAHA no but seriously, perfect looking maxima, I would love to see that in my driveway b4 I go to work everyday or wherever I had to go. hope things go smoothly with the new GTI...

vsamoylov & turtle :: its mkv/mk5, 6th gen isnt out yet

dagger :: yeh those old vw's don't look quick, but they will spank the hell outta a lot of cars lol

MaximaSE96 :: nope, i doubt it, the gti was a drivers car from the start. i miss the max, but when i sit into the lovely bucket hugging seats and start going thru the gears, i forget the "raw" prowess that the maxima had. it was built from the ground up with that intnetion. the maxima (at least the 4th gen) will never have the refinement of the new GTI (and belive me i still LOVE maximas) and im sure a 3.5 swap would spank most gtis... but when the big turbo kits come out... its over

maxima92se :: thanks, i love the color too... you have no idea how many people just stared and looked at the car when driving by

infiniteecho :: ahh thank you thank you, there are def nicer maximas around though

ethnic6 :: word? thanks, i appreciate that comment

Fr33way™ :: chipping it when i hit 5000 after the first oil change, which will be my move to synthetic looking at either REVO or GIAC... revo has more tunability and will probably be better off with it for stage 2 in the future

99grnmaxgxe :: if you really want to know, i could email you the list LOL

Nissan 6 :: lol, trueee i still lurk these forums more than vw vortex, prolly cuz im broke now and id like to keep my warranty for a year. plus, i dont have much knowledge on the GTI compared to everything i read and obssessed about on the maxima

Stagnet04 :: yep, dont remind me. i look in front of my house and dont see a shiny eye catching blue cop-magnet anymore. i could always spot my car in a parking lot for miles! it wasnt even just "hooked up," that blue could blind you in the sun. haha

its not going to be called skyline anymore, instead it will be called the GT-R
it will have the nissan badge

it will come out sometime in spring of 2008
can't remember for sure but i think they said it will have a twin turbo V6 and if not that, inline 6. roughly pushin around 480hp

save ur money now if u want one

mmm

thanks for the info, sounds good. what do you think itll debut at ~$70-80k?

for that price you could start looking at the AUDI RS4 & BMW M3 as well for a performance machine.

now the rs4 is a real performance sedan *drool go get those groceries haha

the gt-r could also get a v8 cause the us insists on one. if this happens, they will prob use the v8 4.5L from the infiniti M45. dunno about price but it should be around there.

the next m3 which will come out in 2008, will have a 4.0L which will output 400hp from a v8 engine!!!!!!!!

interesting.

well i think the more competition, it forces all the car companies to make sure they put out a quality product.

audi rs4... the new m3... the gt-r (skyline watever you wanna call it)... watever amg offering mercedes has... the cts-v from caddy

its gon be a good battle =D
