SP2 Question...Not what you think

OK so I'v Had my SP2 Catback for about 2 weeks now AND I LOVE IT!!! but, I was thinking today, has anyone changed the muffler and put a diifferent one on the Greddy SP2 B-pipe? Like a G35 muffler? or just the stock muffler... If ANYONE HAS DONE IT, WHAT KIND AND HOW DOES IT SOUND?

i have an SP2 and would never do that. the sounds is too good to mess with, imo. what kind of sound do you want? would have been better to go with custom piping and mufflers/resonators.

Don't get me wrong, I love the sound during the afternoons and at night, but when I go to work in the morning it gets pretty annoying, I knows it's part cuz I just barley woke up, So I wanted to see if anyone have changed the muffler but kept the B-pipe. I heard people say that they just changed their B-pipe to a courtesy b-pipe and kept there stock muffler and they say it ALMOST sounds like a stock G35.....I don't know, Im just experimenting, trying to find the best balance of performance and sound without paying a
sh!tload on customization....

Oh, I know that, Im talking about keeping the greddy B-pipe and then adding a G35 muffler or maybe going back to the stock muffler....actually, If I have time, I might try putting on the stock muffler with the greddy B-pipe this weekend.... If I do Ill post up a video.....but only if it sounds good.....

I have the sp2 cat-back and I LOVE it! I also have the cattman Y-pipe. I wouldn't mess with it, it's a great sounding exhaust....

+1

It is definitely one of the best sounding exhausts and changing anything will most likely make it worse than it is originally.

If you HAD to change something though, I'd keep the muffler and change the bpipe. But I wouldn't want to change anything in its setup.

I have a budget bpipe with magnaflow resonator with the SP1 muffler and it sounds good to me.

Unless I'm mistaken you can only buy the cat back not just the B pipe so it would be very odd for someone to buy the catback, and then put the stock muffler on it.

I've yet to hear anyone say, the SP2 is too loud so I'm going to put the stock muffler in.

It's not that it's too loud, it's perfect, I just want to see if anyone has done a muffler switch, thats all. It's never bad to try different things. I guess it's just that Im used to not having ANY sound at all...but we'll see...
