havent' been back in a while...appears like regular member still can't search???
anywho...i've search the stickies...found the writeup on how to check the coils...but info on there is not all correct...or the terminology anyway...like 0 is not the same as infinite...i'm assuming the guy meant OL which is infinite...and infinite on what scale???
this is how i'd measured mine...maybe someone can chime in and help me confirm which coils are bad/going bad...
looking at the motor...front coils i will number 1 - 2 - 3 from left to right...and the rear coils i will number 4 - 5 - 6 from left to right...
coil 1:
(+) and (G) prong = 81 mega ohms
(+) and (1B) prong = 81 mega ohms
(G) and (+) prong = 1.435 mega ohms
(G) and (1B) prong = 665 ohms
(1B) and (+) prong = 1.460 mega ohms
(1B) and (G) prong = 665 ohms
coil 2:
(+) and (G) prong = .438 mega ohms
(+) and (1B) prong = .442 mega ohms
(G) and (+) prong = .294 mega ohms
(G) and (1B) prong = 630 ohms
(1B) and (+) prong = .298 mega ohms
(1B) and (G) prong = 628 ohms
coil 3:
(+) and (G) prong = 213 mega ohms
(+) and (1B) prong = 216 mega ohms
(G) and (+) prong = 1.454 mega ohms
(G) and (1B) prong = 612 ohms
(1B) and (+) prong = 1.492 mega ohms
(1B) and (G) prong = 612 ohms
coil 4:
(+) and (G) prong = .234 mega ohms
(+) and (1B) prong = .237 mega ohms
(G) and (+) prong = .196 mega ohms
(G) and (1B) prong = 662 ohms
(1B) and (+) prong = .203 mega ohms
(1B) and (G) prong = 658 ohms
coil 5:
(+) and (G) prong = 103 mega ohms
(+) and (1B) prong = 105 mega ohms
(G) and (+) prong = 1.048 mega ohms
(G) and (1B) prong = 642 ohms
(1B) and (+) prong = 1.077 mega ohms
(1B) and (G) prong = 640 ohms
coil 6:
(+) and (G) prong = .763 mega ohms
(+) and (1B) prong = .767 mega ohms
(G) and (+) prong = .419 mega ohms
(G) and (1B) prong = 616 ohms
(1B) and (+) prong = .419 mega ohms
(1B) and (G) prong = 616 ohms
it seems pretty consistant between (1B) and (G) measuring either direction u should get roughly 600 ohms...close enuff to a short...all other readout are not very consistant...but according to the sticky...coil 1 3 and 5 are good and 2 4 and 6 is bad or going bad correct???
