Yea I guess ur right ... taking into consideration you don't have to take apart one clean it, wipe it down, degrease it, and grease it up again, and put it back together, and somehow get it back into the car ... lol ... yea changing the starter is a whole lot easier ....

That write up is not very detail. At least I have spent some time on two major points:
1) The write up did not mention how to remove the whole (stock) air duct. The example in the write up is not stock air intake. I spent some time to figure out how to disassemble the air duct.
2) If you try to disassemble the starter completely, you'd better write down or take pictures at every step. It's PITA to put every small parts back together. All I have is one sheet of diagram of starter from FSM. Fortunately, I got some common senses andsome luck to reassemble the starter and it worked fine.

Sorry man I wasn't that detailed, being this was my first time doing this, I didn't know what I should write down or what I should leave to common sense ... also in my case I didn't take apart the complete starte like the person on Motorvate did, I didn't clean the so called "planetary gears" because I didn't want to get too far ahead of myself ... but if someone wants they can use the directions on motorvate in addition to mine ...
here's the link if anyone needs it .... http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/516

those two bolts require a lot of torque ... so if you have a long breaker bar that should work ... the first time i tried taking the bolts off, i wasn't able to, I got frustrated and walked away ... came back later determined to open them, and I did, although I felt like my arms were gonna fall off ... but i did it ... so just make sure ur using the right size/type of socket and try spraying something like wd-40 on them to help you out ... good luck

I re greased mine about 3 months ago and nots its starting to get a hard start. Its not the same noise it made because of the old-sticky grease. It sounds more like the engine is rev'ing right from the start as if i was holding in the gas.
Any idea?
