Chrome Bulbs?

i bought new red clears for my 96

was wondering if anyone has used chrome bulbs? i know they reduce light output, but i was curious by how much difference in brightness?

i want my lights to look good without that fried egg look. if theyre pretty good im going to change all my front clears too. (194,1156,1157)

From what I read, the chrome lights give a very nice amber color.

I dunno, I've installed chrome bulbs in my corners & they had a low white output!

Go with amber.

I have the silverstars in my tails. I got pulled over by a cop and he complimented them. They look slightly blue from the back and it looks pretty nice.

regarding led's i got amber one's with a total of 35 led's on the front sides and back and i was discouraged with the output. it looks neat from the back when they blink because you can see the individual bulbs but the light output wasn't as good as stock clear bulbs. also you'll probably need load resistors for the led's....

I hated that look and so I put the OE ambers back in.. Some have done those LED bulbs in the tails and those things are insanely bright. But, some have reported problems due to a lower resistance.

i am currently using the silverstar in the front corner and i love them. they have a slight hint of green in them at night, but they look fine in the day with the lights off.

Please tell me he pulled you over for something else too. If not, what a waste of time!

I have the chrome (light up amber) bulbs in my front corner lights and love them. I just need to get them for my front & rear turn signals now, I hate how my Silverstars look when they're not lit.

That was the time I got pulled over for my tint. He made me get out of the car and stand behind it and then he noticed them.

I have orange ones in my DTM tails, flipped/cut 1157's in clearance lights, 194's and 1156s on clear corners. Personally i think all of them look very good. Just gineric Sylvania orange bulbs from advance auto, i like how they look during the day, and they look great at night when lit up.

I love them i have them in my corner lights(next to the headlights). They put out a clean orange color with some greenish tint to it.
