clutch problem

okay so last night i get in my car after work and my clutch falls to the floor and stays there so im like wtf......i check the clutch fluid and it was bone dry in the master cylinder.....so i filled it up and everything and now the cluth pedal still feels very weak, like it falls halfway down on its own and then there is pressure when it gets most of the way down....i kno its probably a dumb question but what am i supposed to do? Do i bleed the clutch or what, and if i do where is the nozzle at ? Thanks

You need to bleed the shmuck - and its best to have a couple of people so one can pump the clutch and the other one can release the bleeder screw.

Yes, bleed the system. There is a bleeder valve on the slave cylinder AND up by the master cylinder. You need to bleed both. Also, its not best to have a couple of people, you NEED a couple of people. One inside the car and the other working the valve.

Are you sure you don't have a problem with the slave cylinder and/or master cylinder?

^ya, when you bleed the system, keep an eye out for leaks. That fluid went somewhere.

Also, look down where the pedals are and look behind the clutch pedal against the firewall. If there is any fluid there or dripping down on your carpet you got a bad master cylinder.

You will likely need to replace your clutch hoses. Bleed the system, there are two bleed points, on on the left strut tower, and one on the slave cylinder. Once you get it bled, keep an eye on the reservoir, if if continues to lose fluid, it is either the hose , MC, or slave. The hoses are usually the culprit.
