You are the man Rav!
Haven't tried it yet but I will as soon as I get a chance. You are the man! It has boggled me for weeks now - lol. What about putting it back on? Should I add glue or will friction be enough?
(I'm either getting it leather wrapped or getting an I30 leather handle)
Thanks Rav.

But your red max is the exception

PS-I'm having my flaps colormatched. The black polyurethane composite of the lip reminded me of the Batman suit.

another way to take it off
If you have any power in your arms, give the thing a little heat with a blowdryer, it does stick a littl and he heat helps soften it, but pull the handle up as high as it goes then just pull, it will pop right off, you will feel better that you muscled it off then took a hammer to it

To be honest with you I don't know how the leather wrapped or I30 handle will fit so I would test fit it first. If the friction does it then I'm all for that. If not then you should glue it. Don't use alot though in case you wanna get it back off. My aftermarket ones has an allen screw on the bottom that holds it on.
