Need help on figuring out the problem

I don't know much on the electronics of the Maxima ... The supra i was able to fix pretty much anything the car threw at me. But this is beyond me.
Last night i was toying around with the fog light relay trying to make it stay on independently of the head lights. That didn't go over too well. At the end of the night i ended up blowing a relay, possibly more than one. Right now the problem is, I don't have working fog lights anymore nor do my running lights(the side lamps on the headlights and the rear tail lights) work. Break lights, high beams low beams, and turn signals work just fine.

I need to figure out which relay i need to replay or check in order to get my lights back up and operational. If someone could show me a picture of what i need to check and/or replace that would be great! Ive tried the free search but couldn't find anything.

Check the fuses inside the car for the running lights.

Sounds like you blew the fuse for the tails and running lights. Check that. It is under the steering wheel right above your left knee. The panal that comes out has the locations of all the fuses in that box. Check that then get back to us.

I agree it probably just the fuse. I rewired fogs a long time ago and blew the fuse right away. The relay is harder to blow so it's most likely the fuse. I'll post the # tonight if someone doesnt get to it before me. I'm at work so no option right now.

Okay, i checked every single fuse on the interior fuse box... none of them are bad. I checked the fog light fuse on the driver side in the engine and its bad!.... I check the TAIL fuse and that one is good! Yet my tail lights still do not work, the light bulbs seem to be in fine order, the little wires inside seem to be intact. So I still don't know what the problem might be!!! Someone who's more educated in the electronics/wiring of the Max (99 SE 5spd) please respond i need to have this problem fixed before i can start driving the max again this upcoming week!

Are you sure you wired them correctly? I messed up the first time I wired it in and the lights wouldn't turn on. Once I put the wires correctly they worked. But it is possible you blew the relay. I would wire it like it was and see what happens. If it still is not working then you probably blew something.

No the wires are back the way they were... except for the bumper running light that wire is spliced. I don't think it would cause the problem ... would it ? my driver side bumper running light is spliced since i bought the car.... and the lights worked perfectly with out it.

no the splice won't cause the lights to not come on. You blew something. Check the correct relays and fuses.
