Fellow Maxima.org members,

I am new to the site and have been searching for a way to get HID for my 99 Maxima. I have read countless posts about retrofitting, and have seen the wonderful work done, but I still don't trust myself with the job. I would not like to spend $500 on a kit, $130 on housing, and screw it up not knowing EXACTLY what to cut, shave and bend!

So, I would like to place a call for those folks who have done it for help. I would like to contract someone to do it with me supplying the parts, and I would pay them to make it (and hopefully not lose my arm and leg).

From the reading, I have gathered that I need;

1. TL bi-xenon HID kit parts (good choice because I do want the high and low beam functionality)
2. New light housing (I am going for this eBay purchase)

If anyone can help, respond and/or pm me so we can get some discussion going. I would like to have this done soon if possible. If the response comes from someone on the east coast and it is close enough to Maryland, I would also be willing to drive to let them put them in for me as well.

Your best bet is to contact maxgtr2000, or get on HIDPlanet.com and check out their forums. They have tons of VERY, VERY good retrofitters.

 

Thanks Tatanko! I already PMed maxgtr2000 and a couple others to help me get my max up to par. If you have any other info, just drop me a line in the thread bro!

 

While I've done some of my own retros (mostly non-headlight halogen stuff and work with LEDs), maxgtr2000 did my headlights, so I still believe he is the man to talk to on the .org most of all. You should also be talking to the others who have done a TL retro, though.

I can gaurantee you that there is absolutely no projector set up better than the TL projectors with ZKW lenses. This is the set up my retrofit use and I am the only one who has put the HUGE TL projectors in the R34 housing.
