Problems when adjusting clutch.....help!

I finally got down and tried to adjust my release point lower cause my clutch was way to high for my liking. i did as the write up said and turned the clutch shaft clockwise to push it in some more.

Now the clutch release point is so high it is slipping. Also then the car idles for about 5 min the clutch changes release points( i guess it adjusts itslef) and it puts the release point even high and the pedal become extreamly stiff. Can anyone give some pointers on what to do?

i bled the clutch cause i put in a new line, could it just need more bleeding?

I think you need to continue bleeding. In fact make sure there isn't a bleeder at each end of the clutch line.

I might have a similiar problem. I recently changed my flywheel(Fidanza), fifth gen clutch, pressure plate and clutch bearing. I clutch pedal is higher than before.
I have noticed smooth engagement in first and second gear but it slips slightly in third, fourth and fifth. If slips only slightly when I just let the clutch out quickly but slips more when I press the acclerator at the same time. Clucth pedal feels a little soft but I don't think that I need to bleed it.
Do I need to adjust the clutch pedal? Is this the cause or could it be something else?
