Ses 1008
I did an engine swap in my 97 max with another 97 engine, same production dates, May 97.
yes i have searched other threads, but i know they changed the part number on these years.
after the swap, i've been getting a 1008 code. the evap canister purge volume control valve. I purchased a valve from another member on the org (they also had a 97) so i assumed it would be fine. anyway. swapped valves, still getting code 1008, P1445.

there are 3 valves listed. is it possible that the first valve was already bad, and the 2nd valve wasn't the proper piece?
I'm still trying to pass NJ inspection, and just wondering how to remedy this code.

does the valve match the engine, or match the VIN. i swapped ECU and engine to match as close as possible. do i give the new engine's VIN, or the old one?
i get a clicking noise from my PVCSV (volume control solenoid valve), but it sounds as if its stuck. like a click-click click click click click. is that normal?
