the reasons for speed limiters well for one is to prevent the cars from going over the speed ratings of the tires... like the camaro has a speed limiter unless u get the Z rated tires... and most euro cars have the limiter set at 155

Ok since no one else is representing us 3rd Generation Types I thought I would add my 2 cents.. Taken mine all the way up to 145 (at least that is what the speedo said) for about 30 second and then slowed down.. Wish I could have taken a pic of it but Im not about to drive with one hand and shoot with the other.. And yes, I do know this is the 4th Gen Forum..
