Hi guys. I just completed my tune up thanks for the help for those who assisted me. Now i have another problem I change my front brakes (pads and rotors and left side calipier). Before I change them there was a squealing noise by my front left wheel. After the brake change its still there. So Im wondering if its the wheel bearings. Is that easy to fix? Do I have to change the right side too if the other goes bad?

Wheel bearings are long-lasting. That unwanted sound could be coming from something else. Before replacing your wheel bearing, look closely for a pebble trapped between the rotor and dust shield. Another possibility is a dust shield which is bent and is rubbing against the rotor.

You can take your car to a shop and have them put it up on a hoist with someone in the driver's seat. The "driver" can shift into DRIVE (or 3rd gear) and vary the the engine speed between idle and 3000 rpm. A technician standing below the car can use a mechanic's stethoscope or a length of vacuum line to pinpoint the source of the sound.

Yo man, the bearings, I know would give you a kinda roaring noise..not sure of a squeal. I remember my service advisor at the dealership was telling me something about the brake lines on some models hardening..causing the breaks not to release completely. Have someone check it out.

Wheel Bearings replacement

I had my wheel bearings replaced a month ago on my 97 Maxima Se with 40K on them. The car is as quiet as when I first test drove. The only noise you hear on the freeway is from the tires. Wheel bearings should last a long time, but if you drive in the rain and wash your car a lot, especially if you shove the hose in the wheel, you'll de-lube the bearings. When the grease comes off the bearings, they aren't as smooth and may rust. It's not a big deal...for the money I think it's worth it. The bearings cost me $55 for the front.

Bendix pads are notorious for noise.

Wheel bearings just don't go with that kind of miles.
