FYI, eGay HID kits really suck. My friends blew out in less than 6 months and he paid almost $200 for it! You get what you pay for truly applies to HID kits.

I think you're very, very confused about what HID even is. All you seem to be looking for are cheap colored halogen bulbs. HID capsules are not cheap and will not work without a ballast, igniter, harness, etc. (I also don't recommend them in the stock housings anyway).

It produces horrible glare to oncoming drivers and the output isn't that great no matter what you do.

H.I.D

hey man i just added H.I.D's to my 98 max.....i was always the guy to make sure headlights are done right, i used the cheap $25 a pair halogens with the blue tinted glass for a few years. Don't get me wrong they looked better than stock but sucked in the rain....ive been looking at getting the new Infiniti M but decided to wait so i threw some $ in my car and get a Plug and Play H.I.D. kit for $160..i was iffy to get such a cheap kit but i said the hell with it. So far so good, Light output is better than it was with my halogen bulbs, but i know if i do a retro-fit with projectors than it will be 100 tiems better, anyway long story short, u cant go wrong with getting a cheap H.I.D. kit, make sure u get one that has a warranty.......peace

Ye there is one guy on ebay that sells a german made kit with a lifetime warranty on ballasts and wires. I think its like 150ish. Again if your only looking for the blue color than get cheap blue bulbs, if you want true HID performance then get a kit and spend some money to do it right. And just remember, light output on the blue HID's is not great, the hotter the color the less lumenas.

I think he's after just some hid look a like bulbs. The best one's I've seen are the one's I'm using. Just go on ebay and search for Nokya 9004. Go for the arctic white stage 1. The stage 2 burned out my harness. Should be about 25 shipped.

maximized, are those more whiteish or blueish, or like a light blue. Curious because they say 7000k, i know 6000 is more white, but 8000 is pretty much blue.

When you first turn them on for about 5 min, they look really blue. After the first 5 min, they turn a little more white. Looks like alot of mercedes I see around here.

i forgot something

sorry man i forgot to tell you. I put in a 8000k HID kit, i originally told my boy to get me a 10000k but then thought about it and changed to 8000k....i never knew the higher the temp the less light output, i went down to 8000k cause cops here in NJ can be a little rough and also i don't want the really blue look cause you can just tell its not original, meaning it's not classy it looks like a young kids novelty. I wanted something to break some necks but also not draw to much attention from the Fuzz...then i found this site and read a lot of posts about light output and i'm glad i went with the 8000k....8000k look good, have pretty good output (even without projectors)...my brother has 6000k in his Explorer and yeah his output is better but my lights def look more blue....my friend who went with the 10000k in his 07 Accord, look mad good, nice and blue, but like i said, more of a novelty than a purpose for the color, and yes the output is less..
From what i read on here, 4300k or 4500k is the best for output, but i say whats the point of spending over $150 on lights, just lights, for it to look stock, you gotta have a little blue to the light...only my opinion fellas, dont hate...lol.....later

The stage 1 will not burn your harness. It puts out factory wattage!!!!!
