I got my CAI in on Friday and installed part of it this weekend. I am still waiting on the air bypass valve so I installed as just an intake. The bypass valve was cheap so I figured better safe...
Only ran into two small problems with the install. The upper vaccum hose is a bit short with the new intake. I tried swithing it end for end, it works but is tight and somewhat constricted. Anyone know where I can get a longer piece of hose to replace this with? Autozone was no help.
The other problem I ran into was with the charge air temperature sensor. I was not happy to find that my temp sensor was held in place with electrical tape. Anyone know the part number for the grommit that holds the sensor, and where I can get one? Or do I need a new sensor? Price?
The increase in performance was very good. Thats not suprising considering the state of the old air filter. That will teach me to trust the oil change people. I'm doing all my own maintenance from now on!
