Supercharger for 97
#1
i have a few questions:
1) what mods are NECESSARY before i can get the S/C upgrade
2) What is the diff between the V1 and V2 S/C performance and pricewise. also where can you even find a V1?
3)What sites offer the lowest prices for necessary mods?

1) Recommend that you have a VB Mod (Don In Texas/Mobiltek), and a tranny cooler. (Hayden, or whatever)
2) V1 & V2 have no performance differences. The v1 is louder, the v2 is quieter. Both take up to 20psi boost safely. (too bad your car cant ) Pricewise.. you cant find a v1 new anymore, as they dont make them. You can only get those used.. as for finding one .. good luck.. quite a few people looking. Another note, V2 idler pulleys have been prone to breaking, tho some have had good luck with them.
3) I personally recommend Don In Tx for the VB .. as long as you core swap with him instead of waiting for him to send you his first, as hes doing a huge group deal right now.
Tranny cooler, hit pepboys and buy a hayden 404, or 405 if u can cram it in there.
V2 SC, Hamilton @ Stillen, extension 169. Hes the guy to ask.. hes helped me out with a lot of supercharger stuff.. if he asks tell him the dude who left with a big box of V1 parts sent you. ahhaha.
Other source for V2 .. Phuong .. www.eatricezone.com, good prices as well.
If you have a manual... hopefully someone else will help you out.
Good luck, boost is fun.
