I believe that the width is 7.0JJ but am not certain. Can anyone confirm this?

I would like to fit 225/55/16 tires on my original SE rims.

1) Do they fit?
2) I live in Seattle where there is a lot of rain. Any suggestions for some good tires in the above size or original size (215/55/16)

Thanks.

Mike

....

Stock rims are 6.5" wide.

And yes, you can fit 225s on them, I believe most members choose that tire width to throw on their stock wheels. 225/55/16 would be fine.

The 97-99 SE Rims are 7.5" Wide, since I have them!! The Widest Tire you can put is 225's, the smallest series you can put is 50 Series(any smaller would be ridiculous). Im Currently running 225/50/16, wrapped with crappy Toyo Proxes FZ4's(loudest tires made)

-BTW, Mikey whats this 7.0JJ stuff

Stock size is 6.5"

but there are those who got 225 on 'em
My guess is that Nissan (and some tire/wheel salesfolk) will try to tell you not to do that.

hmm...interesting. The 7.0JJ indicates that the rim has a depth of 7.0 inches. The JJ describes the shape of the mounting surface your tyre sits on. Usually this would be just one J on normal cars and double JJ for 4x4s.
