I received the ypipe from budget exhaust this thursday and had it installed this morning. I paid 300 CND shipped, which I think comes out to 192.85, I'll have to wait for my bank statement for an exact exchange. Anyways, it took the shop an hour to install it and it cost me 80$. As I pulled out of the lot of the shop I could already hear the difference, at low RPMs I regained some of the lost power from the intake and gained a lot of low GROWLING. I noticed a HUGE difference in how fast the RPMs went up and at high end (around 60-80) the acceleration had improved. I highly recommend this product, I am looking to get a high-flow cat from them in the next few weeks. Sounds SOOO nice.

Any sounds

You getting nay noises other than growl that were not there before? Anything like bees in a can sounds or what not? Also what type did you get? I think there are three different types of metal or two actually and one is coated. Did you get the coated or not?

I took out my stock y-pipe and got someone to just bore it out for me... what do you'll think... Also i might have gotten lazy and did not install one bolt that goes inbetween the front of the y-pipe and the end of it... the people that have installed the y pipe know what i'm talking about... it didn't seem to bad when i took it out but when i was putting back on that one tight area seemed to hard to put a bold on so i didn't even bother with it. i tightened all the other bolts tight but i have a exaust leak...

if the whole ypipe is fully hollowed out then that is the same function of an aftermarket ypipe.. as for the bolts and leaks i had mine installed.. so i dont know.

It's the removal of the precats that causes the increase of power. I'm not sure you can just bore them out. I think you would have to cut them off the pipe and then weld new pieces in there place.
I don't think it's worth the trouble, and then it'll have more welds and chances to fail, leak, or not fit right.

Just save the money and trouble and get a premade Y-pipe.

It is probably air escaping. put it on and see if it changes.

Tighten that bolt and see if there is a difference. Could be a small spot that is leaking from. It is air so it can get out anywhere.
