Bumper Paint Job Price

My front and rear bumpers need a new paint job. How much should I expect to pay? Does anyone have experience with MAACO?

Thanks.

stay away from maaaco, its for those ppl who will sell car right away.

if you plan to keep car go to independent show who will give you minimum 1 year warranty on their paint work. here in NYC at those shops which I know, they charge $250 for each bumper to be repainted and fixed.

MAACO? The bumpers on our cars are made of a plastic or rubber based material. They have to be prepped correctly if you want the job to come out nice. Flex agents must be added to the primer so the paint doesn't chip or crack. Maaco isn't going to use high end stuff on a paint job. Stay away from them, go find a local body shop and talk to the guy, tell him your looking for quality work. Spend a little extra $$$ The Max is worth it!

Thanks for the info. I'll find a private shop. Why is Maaco able to get away with inferior work?

Because they charge so little. Example, my paint job cost around $6K for a full color change/custom body work, etc. Maaco probably would have charged $1K. They'll paint a car for $200 when most shops would charge at least $1500 for something similar.

If any of you guys came to the LSP meet and saw the red altima. That was done by Maaco. You have to go to the specific one though because the quality there is better. He paid a lot more than $200 though.
