Available paint colors on 4th gen Maximas

I was wondering if there is someplace I could find out what the available paint colors were for different year 4th gens. Were they all available in the same? Where there a few new colors year to year, or were there big diffrences year to year?

I have a 98 Max, the seller called the color 'Jade Green' (a dark green with a little blue in it), I assume that 'Jade Green' is Nissans term for the color. I saw someone had a 98 Max in 'Sage mist Green' listed in their sig., is that a diffrent color? I have seen Maximas in a dark hunter green color also. Did Nissan have three different shades of green available at the same time?

I can't say for all 4th gen years but in 99 there were two shades of green available.

I don't know about different year color avaiabilities, except that 99s were special since they were the last 4th gens, they got red for the SE-L as well as a few other colors.

You can find out what your paint code is by reading the label of your car in the engine bay. Pop open your hood, look at the firewall on the left side of the engine bay (the engine side with the belts) and take note of your paint code. After that, go here;

http://www.paintscratch.com

My car is Sage Mist Green, which is code FS0, and I have the unusual greyish green interior which Nissan calls sereno.

I also have FS0, I guess that makes me a member of the Sage Mist Green Maxima club . I don't know why the seller called it Jade Green but that describes it pretty well too. I really wanted black but this color is growing on me, I still am not thrilled with the beige interior.

On the paintscratch site they call it Blue Green Metallic Clearcoat and it looks much lighter than my car, but I assume it's because of the way the color shows up on the computer. I guess I can just put in different years at aintscratch and see what colors come up.

Haven't seen one yet but I'd love to eyeball a Sovereign Blue (BM1) US 4th Gen. If you have one, give us a look!

I collected the Maxima brochours starting 96 that is my Max's year until 99.5 just for year to year comparison. But now I only keep 96 brochour, all the other years were tossed. Not 100% sure but I never saw more than one green color with Maxima, or with any other Nissan cars. 96 Maxima has these colors:
Arctic white pearl (QN0)
Platinum iris (LP0)
Pebble beige metallic (CG2)
Starfire blue pearl (BN6)
Ruby pearl (AL0)
Granite pearl (KN6)
Deep evergreen (DP0)
Super black (KH3)

All right....bringing back the old thread for a reason...Does anybody have any pics of their "granite pearl" Maxima? I have that color, code KN6, but my car looks nothing in color like Ben's...what gives? Mine's much darker, almost black. Just curious as to if anybody had any pictures of theirs!

But in my 96 brochure there is no such color. Then I checked edmunds.com and found it only available in year 1995.

Ruby Pearl is a much better color than the Rosewood of the later 4th gens. Ruby Pearl was my second color choice.

I think it was only available on 95 but they produced few 96s with that color. It was available on trucks and 3rd gen. I like it very much, since there was no black available in 95. Most people mistake it for black.

Dont pick on Rosewood...

hey that strangely hard to describe "Rosewood" graces my car, haha. I need to post a pic'to show how "cool" it can look but the color is a pearl that will change from a rosy mauve to goldish orangey brown to metallic purple to maroon to burgundy.. you get the point...

Everyone always calls the white, pearl white. I feel it is too -visually - but all my window sticker says is "Arctic White". (It's a '96 GLE). Did they later add "pearl" to the name or does everyone just call it 'Arctic White Pearl' when it really is only arctic white??
