I'm surprised no one mentioned the radiator core support, my 98SE with 85K needed that changed a few months ago. It was ready to fall apart. Otherwise KS, and EVAP solenoid, rest is normal maintenance.

Old car 1995 SE 5spd, 210K
replaced front axles and that was it!!

New(er) car 1998 Auto, 145K
Axles
KS
LCA's
Starter
Muffler
Sway Bar bushings
Rack and Pinion
Sway Bar end links

I don't think that list is too bad for a car with 140K+ miles on it. I know my wifes 95 Bimmer has gone through twice as many repairs and it has 130K. Oh, and they are uber expensive if you don't do the repairs yourself!! To the tune of $110/hr!!!

419K miles, how do you make that kind of mileage? Drive across the country on a regular basis?

It's entirely possible, I used to do about 31-33k/year in my 95. Had I continued that trend, she would be in that area now (12 years @ 31k/year, if purchased in late 94 )

WOW, that's AWESOME!!! In another 80k you'll have 1/2 million miles!

Auto or 5-speed? What are the major things you've had to do?

Best thing is that car w/420k probably still pulls on 80% of the brand new cars I bet. You should get a dyno, seriously that would be SOOOO cool to see what that thing is making.

As stated elsewhere, this is the # of kilometres on this vehicle which I am familiar with.

I have 71,051 on my one-owner 95 SE, 5-speed, owned since October 1, 1994.

Now I'm sure NmexMax will be all over me like white on rice!

its a 5-speed

lol major things. uhh replaced both cv axles because of torn boots from running over a tarp on the highway0, clutch master cylinder, i put on some AGX and K-sport springs(not because it needed it but because i wanted it lower), and it needs a new radiator now because of small cracks near the cap.
Other than that just general maintenance stuff. I know she is throwing some CEL codes but i just haven't gotten them read yet. thats on my list of things to do.

I used to drive 20,000 miles a year for quite awhile and destroyed umpteen cars in the process.

I plan on taking a few longer trips to various parts of the good 'ol US of A, now that the US$ is heading to worthless.
