Whose got the highest mileage?? Any issues?

My wife has a 96 GXE, or GLE, I'm really not sure. We bought it for $650 right after we sold her 2003 I35 to get rid of car payments. It had 293k, at least 2 bad coilpacks, quarter tank of bad gas, custom seats and interior that were destroyed, bald tires, core support damage, suspension bushings and struts that were almost nonexistent. The owners pulled it out of their garage after 3 years of sitting and were going to crush it if no one bought it over a weekend.
I've spent almost a grand on it by now, and it rides like new with all new struts, front end bushings, balljoints, a good rack I pulled from another car, some almost new tires, and an alignment. I also did a little core support straightening via dodge ram truck and tow strap, installed a set of seats I bought off craigslist for cheap, cleaned the headliner, replaced the dash vents, power antenna (then promptly ripped it off on a treelimb), and did a LOT of cleaning.
It's now a polished turd with 297k and running strong. Still needs a little more straightening up front, a flex pipe and a few leaks fixed, but you would be amazed if you saw it before and after.
Other maximas:
95 5 speed black/ black- 105k to 155k (current owner has around 225k)
90 black on black 5 speed- 186k at sale
95 GLE, 193k, bought with blown hg.. fixed and sold
89 GXE, 244k at sale- mint condition car
90 SE 5 speed- 222k- owned for a week
97 black on black 5 speed- 193k, currently under construction

i bought my 98 i30 for $50
ive replaced the starter and the alternator, and all the fluids, paid some registration and smog
about 700$ out the door. It runs perfectly 198k miles now.
suspension, paint interior pretty much everything was all up to date. I dont have any records for the car but most everything is up to date. I see napa on the cv joints so they were replaced, all the brake pads look 90%
front shocks are oem but function fine so I dont know if they have 197k miles on them they might
back are tokico blue so they are newer, much stiffer too
it does have the famous knock sensor code.
oh the engine was a factory replacement at 140k miles... when i took the filter out it said k n .... almost everything about this car is a gem... basically stock. rear seat looks completely unused.

'95 GLE Automatic (ugh) w/ 213,429.
Bought in 2002 when someone killed (front end smashed) my beloved '90 240sx. Off the top of my head, have had to replace CV joints, ignition coil, water pump 2x, starter...all I can remember without my file folder. Car looking a little ragged because of a tire blowout I had last year on the interstate...huge dent in lower 1/4 panel, smaller dents in the door, ripped the door handle off, pockmarked the paint. Think I'm having ignition coil problems again, too;lots of engine stuttering, sometimes doesn't want to start. Wish I had the extra funds to make it right! Got spoiled by my 240.

97 w/ 194k My parents bought it in 99 with 12k on it! i started driving it with roughly 106k.
I have had quite a bit, but i still love the car. Replaced O2 sensors twice, coil pack on cyl 3, a couple of clutchs, front rotors, your regular tune up stuff, some smaller little things, and she's starting to burn oil a bit... lets hope that doesnt get too bad!

169,000 miles
- front O2 sensor replaced by prev. owner under warranty
- crankshaft position sensor
- oil pressure sending unit
- water pump @ 155,000 miles
- EGR solenoid @ 164,000 miles
- Engine coolant temp. sensor @ 164,000
- Windshield replaced (pockmarked to death)
- Exhaust from cat-back just replaced with after market parts
To be fixed / replaced
- Rear O2 sensor just came up after replacing exhaust
- Valve cover gaskets and intake gaskets
- Small clunking noise coming from front on/off don't know from where yet
Took the car from Phila to NC last summer and plan to take it to New Hampshire in a couple weeks. Rides great but gas mileage is down to 15-18 mpg. Love this car and still wash/wax it by hand.

1995 SE 167K miles! Running well, except problems starting in cold weather. Haven't sorted that out yet, but getting a 1005 code. Cleaning out the EGR tube soon. Water pump and radiator replaced at 150K. Just did the brakes for the 2nd time (replaced left rear caliper). Had to have the front motor mount/radiator support bar welded last year. Never wrecked, but it's got a few scrapes (my bad). Can't see why it won't keep going now that I'm learning how to fix everything that goes wrong. Gonna need new valve cover seals, and possibly a new timing chain, but the thing still drives smooth and revs all the way up to redline. Love this car!

98 black se manual - been in the family since we bought it in 99
187k miles
clutch replaced once
suspension in process of being completely redone
-changed all 4 shocks - illumina rear gr2 front for now
-tokico/custom maxima lowering springs
-sway bar bushings/endlinks
-about to replace all control arm bushings and ball joint (ES and moog)
-evap canister in the back is busted and throwing a CEL but i really can't be bothered - valve nuts are spinning inside the canister, dumbest design ever
-knock sensor needs to be replaced
-inner tie rod boot is torn - need to change it soon but not really in a hurry (see other imminent repairs)
the car sat on the driveway for 1 1/2 years. when i started it back up it made a nasty lifter/ticking noise, changed the oil and noise has quieted but is still there. could be nothing, could be timing chain tensioner but i'm not sure yet.
going to autorx the engine and tranny soon to clean out the engine and hopefully seal up a very slow tranny leak (not differential bearing)
original axles are still fine, not even a torn boot.
I've put $700 in parts into getting the car back up and running including the full suspension parts, o2 sensors, battery, spark plugs, tires, fuel filter and miscellaneous other parts like spoiler hardware. I'd say that's pretty damn good considering how much usage my family's gotten out of it.

i got a 96 Se QN0 5MT with 208k on her and runs STRONG only issues i have is i need radiator support replaced, a new clutch and what appears i have a gear oil leak on the casing that looks like someone had the tranny apart at one point and didnt seal it properly so ill do that when i do the clutch, aside from that the only "major" thing is my ebrake doesnt work due to a missing cable somewhere which i havent found the time to check

I'm currently @ 228k
The current problem I have is suspension. I assume it's due to the fact that the previous owner lived in New York city and those roads are horrifying. I received my I30 back when it had 159k miles on it, by the time it hit about 180k miles, that's when the front suspension went out, and I must say, it is NOT wise to drive around with bad front shocks + weak springs.
Right after replacing the front shocks and springs (OEM) the rear suspension went out not even a month later. I still haven't gotten around to replace it due to a lot of traveling (business). And currently, the suspension is just nuts... huge body roll on turns, the car bounces really hard and repetitive when I drive over speed humps.
I believe it was 10k miles later that my hood shocks finally gave out. Woke up one morning to clean the engine bay with some degreaser + pressure washer, popped my hood open, lifted, and right as I let go, the hood dropped shut. So the shocks had enough strength to hold it for almost 3 seconds until they gave out.
A/C Compressor died @ about 200k miles.... and that took me a while to replace, which was horrible living in Florida with no A/C during the summer + humidity.
My starter also started to go @ around 215k miles but thanks to this forum I learned how to replace it.
My valve cover gaskets started to leak @ 225k and just recently had that replaced + fuel filter, this time around I got a 96 300ZX fuel filter.
Due to New York + Florida (living by the beach) part of my muffler has nasty rust spots, but hasn't been "falling apart", just a lot of rust... as well as my exhaust piping.
And finally I have a CEL, which at first it showed MAF sensor, Crank position sensor, and a few oxygen/heater sensors, but after replacing the valve cover + fuel filter and resetting my ECU, it came down to just MAF sensor, but then I reset it again after cleaning it with a can of MAF cleaner + throttle body cleaner, and now I got the CEL again... but I haven't checked codes yet. I'm going to wait for Friday maybe Saturday to check on my CEL due to a lot of raining out here in Northern Oregon. Supposedly it'll be sunny and dry over the weekend.
Just as a note though, I remember getting the CEL for MAF sensor (which at the time, I remember seeing them for around $400+, so couldn't replace it) after replacing my OEM air intake system with a pop-charger intake, but it was after almost 50 miles of driving that day.
I think I should have reset the ECU after installing it because it might have been giving me a "false positive", in other words, nothing is really wrong other than maybe the MAF got confused from the replacement of OEM to aftermarket? Not sure... =\
So all in all I'm just left with replacing the suspension (this time I'll re-do the front as well but going aftermarket with H&R springs, since it's sporty + best comfort compared to others) The shocks I still have to research... I wish KYB AGX wasn't so expensive since supposedly those are really good for not just spirited driving but also everyday driving.
And after I check codes on CEL, whatever it is, I'll replace that as well.
Other than that... my baby is still going strong. Right now I'm checking on gas mileage which kinda sucks because I still have the tendency to push her hard. Where I live there's a lot of farm vehicles and semi-trucks that go slow as ***** and plus I don't like driving behind vehicles that prevent me from seeing ahead of them (semi-trucks being one of them). So I believe I'm not gonna get an accurate reading on MPG.

'96 SE 193k Lower control arms, CV joints, MAF sensor replaced due to drop in KN filter of course. O2 sensors were replaced by Dealer as I bought it, SUPER long story there. Other than that runs like a charm. oil leaks out of a gasket from time to time but its also a 14 year old daily driver which I've owned for 9 of those years.

180k both rear brake calipers
both rear rotors
both cv axles
a/c compresser, air dryer, exp valve
ignition switch (electrical half)
fuel level sending unit (cracked when i bought it)
fuel pump (might as well while i was in there)
thats all so far (knock on wood)

Got my 97 new and it has 205xxx on it now. I have done...
Alternator
Starter
P/S front wheel bearing
Ignition switch
Radiator core support
Sun roof as a complete assy.
And last but not least "the oil leak."
Thank goodness I am ASE certified and turn wrenches for a living. Fixing that oil leak sucked and I have a whole shop at my fingertips.

still drives well ohh and cvs and o2 sensor replaced and now needs another reading high voltage??
