Antenna broke - how do I disconnect or fix it?!
Hello,
My power antenna stopped working early this winter and the noise it makes is driving me mad! Turn on the car and listen to gears grinding for 20 seconds and when I shut the car off it goes for another 20 seconds.
I tried to just pull the power plug from the antenna unit but simply cannot find it. There is a large grey one that i disconnected and it still kept going, then theres a batch of cables to it that don't seem to disconnect.
So simply put how do I kill it?! I don't care if it works, I just want to make it so I don't here loud grinding.
Thanks very much in advance!

Theres a plug that goes to the antenna in the trunk. Its the mess of wires. The single one is just for the radio connection.
If you want to fix the problem, order an Antenna Mast. Its about $15-$20 and doesnt take that long to install.

It sounds like just your mast is broken, which is fairly easy to replace.
I just replaced my motor, which I probably didn't need to do, but it was cheap anyway.
Be careful, though, to get OEM motors, as some ebay ones require you to splice wires instead of using the harness.

Easy fix: unplug the power sourse for the motor. Mine stopped working last year and I just unplugged the cord which I cannot remember where it was. If you look hard enough, you'll figure it out.
