- O2 sensor, fuel injectors, alternator, gauge cluser (tach), struts, general maintenance
- In the middle of doing the axles, not sure if they are bad or not.

2. From a German guy returning to Germany. Went to see his other car but bought this one instead.
3. $25,000 in 1999 with 2K miles on the clock
4. Almost stock except for the wear out items. Had a big ordeal with an A/C shop over a failed compressor. Finally fixed it myself. Many convenience item such as BT HF, GPS, ipod interface.

4. had to fix water pump within first month and then exhaust about a 9 months after

Ebay. $885. 1995 white gxe. 204k miles. Tranny stuck in 5th gear, but I had one in the garage to replace it with. Did a motor swap with a motor that had 120 actual miles on it..like brand new, and swapped a ton of other stuff because i totalled the max i had right b4 this one, so good parts.

I paid cash my 1997 Maxima SE new in April of 1997 at a Nissan dealer in Seattle Wa, which I don't remember their name. Sticker price was just under $31K, but with my Nissan family discount, I got the car for about $24K OTD.

Small dealer, it was the oldest car on the lot and the cheapest. The other cars were BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, etc so I figured that was a good sign. Beautiful loaded '96 Deep Evergreen SE 5 speed with 140k for just $2500.

4) Just 2 o2 sensors to pass inspection! but it did need new shocks when I bought it too. Oh, and a new gear shift boot/****, the originals were pretty much disenegrating

well ive had two

first one

1) it was completely stock when I bought it all I put on was a intake it was a 95 SE 5spd, bought it with 125,000miles totaled at 131,000 miles RIP, white with tan leather...it had EVERY option

2) found it on craigslist from the original owners :-D

3) they wanted $3100 I walked out with the car and $2500

4) all it needed was a clutch...but I never replaced it

my second one

1) again bought completely stock, 97 SE white with black leather again EVERY option but heated seats :-/ bought it with 77,600miles :-D

2) again found it on craigslist from a old couple they were the second owners for the last 9years

3) they wanted $6700 I got it for $4000 (and still had $200 left from what insurance gave me) :-)

4) nothing it was in amazing condition minus some paint chips on the front bumper and they gave us a FAT STACK of maintenance records and all records
and Ive put all the mods on it that are on her so far

ha hell ya man that DE will last a LONG time if you maintain....and sometimes when you dont. You picked the right car for reliability and longevity! You'll get sick of lookin at it before it dies for good. The GLE got nissan plugs, coolant flush, BG tranny flush, egr tube cleaned, air filter, pcv, belts all in about a week of owning it.

well mine only has 78,300miles on it right now...and they're original miles too

so it's going to be a couple of years before I hit the 232,000mile point.

3) How much did you pay?: me - nada dad - $20,000 brand new in aug 98

4) What issues did you have to fix immediately?: idk where to start... engine hasnt been regularly maintained, paint is deteriorating, speakers are blown, tints are peeling, and brakes are gone... all this needs to be fixed as soon as i get my priorities straightened out.
