Coil pack recommendations

I've got a '99 SE manual with 80K on it and have at least one bad coil. Was thinking about just replacing all of them at the same time. I don't have $400+ to spend on a new OEM set and not sure if I want to take a chance on used ones with 100K on them. There are some on ebay for a good price but don't want crap that will have to be replaced again. Anyone heard about these?

Any recommendations are welcome. Thanks for your help.

Yes, I have some advice. Don't be afraid of some good used coilpacks from a forum member here. People are selling these all the time in the classifieds. My opinion is that when a part is easily replaced, and will not totally strand you if it fails, then a used one is a good gamble.

Besides, the 95-98 models had very few issue with this, so your chance of getting good used ones is very good. Heck, you could buy an entire used VQ30 from the salvage yard for $400, use the coils, and part out the rest!

My first coil pack didn't go out until around 140k. The other 5 are still going strong at 155K. I wouldn't go out and replace all of them at once at only 80K. It's expensive. Just replace the bad one and wait! No need to replace working parts!

Courtesy has them for $83.05 or $79.56 depending on which you need.

I'm not sure of any other lower end brands that work well.
