just did alarm beep mod...help

Hey guys,

Just finished the alarm beep mod following these steps:
http://www.vqpower.com/v2/readarticle.php?article_id=49

the good: when the alarm is hit on my keyfob, the buzzer beeps as the lights would flash normally.

the bad: when the buzzer beeps the first time, the lights come on...like normal, except the buzzer now beeps twice and the signal lights stay on, even when the beeper shuts off.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

Your relay is stuck open.

wouldn't it be "stuck" closed? If the relay was open wouldn't it shut off? How do I correct? It's wired as shown...thanks

i've been searching, and about 90 percent of people say you do not need the relay. If this is the case, then isn't the buzzer going to go off whenever you have your turn signals on?

Nope. No relay needed. Wire the red wire of the buzzer into power (one of the green/orange wires) and the black wire of the buzzer into the BCM wire (orange). You're done.

well thank you. i actually tried this about an hour ago after reading several old threads. to me, this doesn't make much sense as to why it wouldn't beep when i put my signal on, but at this point i really don't care.....

so, in the end, i think i spent 3 hours, 10 bucks, and received chapped hands (it is now about 7 degrees outside) for two beeps. i think it was worth it but now i have a hatred for relays.
