Have you checked fluid condition and level?

ya i just did about a week ago. i put in tranny cleaner too, really thick red stuff i forget who makes it. thats when it started running really good. it only works really good though when i first run the car a few times after sitting and then it just goes back to how it was before.

sounds like you need a flush and fill on the trans ... would be worth the money I'm sure. price it around a couple places and see who will do it for you. if you have a choice for trans fluid any of the following are decent: Amsoil (contact Talkinghorse here on the forums - he'll get you a great deal!), Redline, Royal Purple ... all good. I don't know if one is better than another, I am a 5spd guy. (who uses Amsoil!) lol

Keep us posted

151,000 is high for a flush, i took her to the dealer and they took an hour with it and said the fluid was DIRTY. afterwards it ran great, but i digress. in the winter it takes forever to get warm and flash shifts for the first 20 miles or so.

have NISSAN do the flush. it may cost a little more but it is worth it. IMHO.

Why?

Read your post again, you wrote the answer in your question.

Beat on it some more.

OR:
1) Try switching to Amsol synthetic tranny fluid, it may run cooler.
2) Get yourself a tranny cooler.
3) Start saving for a new tranny.
4) Stop flooring your car several times a day.

RIGHt on man,,, thats exacly what i did and will continue to do, and the fluid level is PERFECTLY bang on the line when the dealer does this

i have had other cars i took for service at various "tranny" expert places and always came out with a higher fluid level than than required !!!

ummmmm, did you check level and color and smell??? and, have you ever had it flushed and or changed before?? if no, look at color, and it should have a smell, but not be a burnt smell and check level while car is running but warmed up to running temperature.it should be on or a little below the h mark on stick. and blackwind, did you not see what i posted right before you??? cmon people, read the whole post before replying......
