Fuel smell from injectors under the IM?
Hey guys I get the fuel smell from my vents when my car is idling. I checked it out today and it wasnt coming from the fuel filter. It was coming from the area under the Intake Manifold where the knock sensor. It smells like it might be from one of the injectors. There is no fuel spilling out but I can smell it. What could be wrong? Leaky injector?

If you keep driving it, it could become worse if it is indeed a leaky injector. Hard to tell whether it is the injectors themselves or one of the two sets of o-rings or what (for the record, there are o-rings on the actual injectors and there are big fat o-rings that the injectors themselves sit in in the lower manifold).

Well mine was the hose on the high pressure line between the front and back injector rail. Might check that first. Mine did not leak unless it was cold out. See if it is loose, can you twist it around.

The clamps at the hi pressure fuels line are the most common cause of that problem during cold weather. The hoses have been compressed so long there no longer flexable & seep fuel when cold.So its hoses & clamps to do it right.
