00vi installed

I finally got my car back today. Now it is in bad need of a tune, but i don't want to get it up on a dyno yet since i had it sitting with no oil for a month. My mechanic recommended that I go get a quick tune since i have the Neo. I don't really feel like paying someone to tune my car off a dyno. The engine is running extremely lean and sucking up alot of air. I'm getting no back pressure and it sounds like a raspy honda : ( does anyone running the 00vi have any settings they can share with me?

Lean is no good! I thought I was in a bad way since a year and a half later I still have not tuned my car and it runs rich.

whats your setup? 4th gen lower or 5th gen lower? do you have a wideband? if you dont want to dyno tune it i suggest getting a wideband and hooking it up with the neo(if possible not to familar with apexi piggybacks) least you can tell what your afr's and tune on your own. personally i think its worth getting a wideband just for future mods ect ect. it is kinda weird that your running lean after the swap. usually after the swap people tend to run on the rich side. have you tested your maf lately or have anykind of airleaks\vaccum leaks?

See the all motor stickies.

If he's running lean, that leads me to believe he is using the A32 LIM/Fuel equipment. A33 LIM/Fuel equipment would run rich. However, Im running A32 parts, and have no issues at all.

eh see the sig thats what i suggest. but i wouldnt mind scoping out the utec since i hear its even better than the eu

he could still be running lean on a33 lower though. IE bad injector, clogged, kinked fuel hose(im guilty of that one) ect ect. but you do make a valid arguement though.

Locknuts, you bring up a good point. If in fact he is running the A33 LIM, I am going to point my finger towards a kinked hose. When working with that tube spider under the TB, things can get tricky, fast.

thats why i just removed the whole gallery FTW
made life a whole lot easier
smarter not harder

yeah i think a kinked fuel hose would be the first place i would start along with maybe the damper on the fuel rail might be pinched at the angle where the line hooks up. but i think he has unmetered air leaking though somewhere.

but we will never know till he posts again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
